Her career began in New York City’s fast-paced fashion world, where she spent years as a successful fashion and prop stylist for major brands, national retailers, and top-tier magazines.

That background gave her a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of how things read — both on camera and in real life. It’s a skill that translates seamlessly into home staging and interior design, especially in a visually driven market like New York.

Today, Terry is the founder and principal of Terry Mainord Design, an award-winning boutique staging and design firm based in Brooklyn. Known for creating warm, layered interiors that feel modern yet timeless, she brings a curated, thoughtful approach to every project — whether she’s preparing a property for sale or helping a client reimagine their home.

Her work is grounded in composition, color, and scale, and it’s always tailored to the unique story of each space. Over the past six years alone, Terry and her team have staged over $375 million in property, earning recognition across the industry for designs that stand out and sell fast.
